The Wedding Coordinator at Woodlands Inn has one responsibility: to help you create the wedding of your dreams. You can select from our packages or customize your own, while we make sure that no detail goes untouched. On the big day, you will have absolutely nothing to worry about...perhaps except remembering your vows!

Whether a simple ceremony or a lavish celebration, the Woodlands® Inn’s Wedding Coordinator will assist you from the very beginning of the planning all the way through your special day. This checklist can assist you with your planning at Woodlands Inn.

Here's a Helpful Wedding Checklist from our Wedding Coordinator:

Three to Twelve Months Before the Wedding

• Select your venue and date at Woodlands Inn.
• Work with the Woodlands Wedding Coordinator for recommendations and confirmation of wedding planner, pastry chef, florist, photographer, musicians, videographer, officiant and local church (if preferred).
• Mail out save-the-date cards and include overnight accommodations information from Woodlands.

Two to Three Months Before the Wedding

• Begin planning menus for your rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and farewell brunch with the Woodlands Wedding Coordinator.
• Purchase your attendants’ gifts from Reflections, Woodlands in-residence artists or ShopSalamander.com
• Plan the bridesmaids’ luncheon and groomsmen’s dinner.
• Determine the need for babysitting services for your guests during the wedding. Nannies can be arranged through the Woodlands Concierge.
• Send your guests a list of area activities.
• Arrange transportation from the airport (if needed) for the bride, groom and their families, as well as the wedding party.
• Check marriage license requirements for the State of South Carolina.
• Order the wedding cake.

Four to Six Weeks Before the Wedding

• Mail out your invitations.
• Have programs printed for ceremony and reception.
• Finalize menus and expected number of guests with your Woodlands Wedding Coordinator.
• Finalize set-up instructions for ceremony, rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and farewell brunch.
• Remind guests to book Spa treatments and all other recreational activities.
• Book Bridal Package at the Woodlands.
• Request rooming list from Woodlands to be sure guests are making reservations.
• Coordinate with your Woodlands Wedding Coordinator to select welcome baskets for out-of-town guests.

One Week Before the Wedding

• Review final details with florist, photographer, musicians, pastry chef, videographer and wedding planner.
• Be sure all out-of-town guests have made room reservations.

Four Days Before the Wedding

• Secure the official marriage license.
• Notify your Woodlands Wedding Coordinator of the final guaranteed number of guests based on RSVPs.
