The evening could not have been better. The reception flowed beautifully as we moved from cocktails into the magically glowing dining room. Then later when the draperies were drawn back to reveal the hidden dance floor and band, gasps went out because of the seemingly unending enchantment. The dinner was spectacular, scaled up to banquet proportions without losing any of the attention to elegance and the gourmet perfection of your restaurant. Service was a dream. You and your staff accommodated every request with precision and great courtesy. It was an unforgettable experience and we are very grateful for all that you and your associates have done for us. "Dear Mr. Wall, This is a long overdue letter. On August 3, 2007, we hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Woodlands Resort and Inn for our son and daughter-in-law and on , our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary brunch.
We received the client satisfaction survey, but after looking it over, realized that there was much more to say than was possible on that document. We were asked if our expectations were met or exceeded. We could not answer by simply checking the boxes.
When it came time to plan for our son’s Summerville wedding, it was very clear from the beginning that there was only one true option for the rehearsal dinner. The information from your webpage led us to contact the inn and meet the wonderful Dale Wherry.
Our first meeting with Mr. Wherry sealed the deal. He was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. There was never a doubt or worry that the events would be anything but fabulous. His staff implemented the details of the events flawlessly and our guests were treated with extraordinary hospitality and the cuisine was superb. In addition, he was able to help with selecting a baker and a florist who provided comparable, wonderful services.
Our daughter is being married next fall in North Carolina and we have not found equivalent professionalism in the venues we are considering. Working with Mr. Wherry has ruined us. We are now hard to satisfy!
After our weekend in Summerville, our daughter, who is in corporate marketing for Ritz Carlton, remarked her time at The Woodlands exemplified something that they are told in their training, that elegance without warmth is arrogance.
