Position Title: AM Server Woodlands Resort and Inn is located 25 minutes west of Charleston, South Carolina--USA. Position Title: Assistant Dining Room Manager Reports directly to Food & Beverage Director Directs dining room and coordinates food service activities. Supervises and trains employees, confers with kitchen staff and other personnel to plan menus and related activities. Estimates food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases supplies. May review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations. Maintains payroll and bookkeeping records. A college degree in restaurant/hotel or equivalent experience is preferred along with a strong knowledge of f&b procedures and administration, preferable within Five Diamond establishment. Position Title: Group Sales Manager Responsibilities include increasing group business through direct sales efforts, implementing sales action plans, developing new accounts and further existing account relationships. Call on prospects to solicit business, analyze requirements of potential function or meeting and present available hotel facilities and services to clients. Confer with hotel department heads to ensure that all aspects of function, such as space requirements, schedule of events, food service, and decorations are being handled properly. Work in conjunction with Director of Catering and Conference Services, as well as Sales and Catering Assistant to handle all group meetings/functions from the initial inquiry through the completion of the event.
